This coming Saturday, October 29, Wickedly Westboro is the event to be at. It is a fun-filled family event all along Richmond Road in Westboro Village – see much more info at http://www.westborovillage.com/content/wickedly-westboro. The day kicks off with a family zombie walk beginning near Mrs. Tiggywinkles and ending at the green space on the corner of Golden Avenue. It is there that you will find us, along with Laura Benn, pro pet photographer.
We are holding a fantastic contest for the best dog costume. It’s not a cutest dog contest (how could we judge that?!) and it is not a photography contest… we will be judging the best (funniest, most original) costume. Judging will take place on Halloween Monday by a third party judging panel and winners will be announced in the days to follow. The lucky first place winner will walk away with a pet portrait session courtesy of Laura Benn, Founder and Editor of PAWSH Magazine - www.acquiredtaste.org. Second and third place will win gift certificates to Masters and Dogs (formerly Bark and Fitz) - http://www.mastersndogs.ca.
There are two ways to enter; the fun way is to dress your pooch up and come see us at Wickedly Westboro between 11am and 2pm. Laura will be there to photograph your pet on set. In return, we are asking for a $5 donation to Hopeful Hearts Dog Rescue - http://www.hopefulhearts.ca. Your photo will be emailed to you as a hi-res JPG and will be automatically entered in the contest. Can’t make it out on the weekend? Take your own photo and email it to bark@theguywiththedog.com by 6pm Sunday, October 30. Please include your name and you dog’s name in the email. All photos will be posted online, so please don’t enter if you are not comfortable with your pooch’s image on the web.
